Carl Griffin: New place was where Shakespeare died in 1616. It was demolished by a Reverend but its foundations can still be seen. Nash House, next door, was owned by Shakespeare's granddaughter.

Carl Griffin: The regular watering hole of two of Jack the Ripper's victims. Beautiful pub that has changed little since those Victorian days. Great real ales.
Carl Griffin: Huge collection of portraits of those who have made Britain the great country it is. Portraits range from playwrights to pop stars and kings to psychologists. Entrance is free.
Carl Griffin: Fitting tribute to a National hero. Nelson died at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 where the French and Spanish fleets were destroyed. Children love climbing over the lions at the base.
