Super chill place. A classy waffle house. Your server cooks your food. Old time charm in the entire restaurant. Ask for Byron. He's an awesome server. The omelettes are delicious and so are the grits.
Fantastic croissants. Almond are my favorite, but blueberry and chocolate are great as well. Get a croissant, a coffee, and sit in the window and watch people wander by.
You MUST try the Peanut Butter Bacon Burger with a Loaded Baked Potato. Amazing!
Favorite fried chicken in the city. But from the greens to the gumbo and the white beans, everything here is great. If you're there on the Monday, the red beans with a breaded pork chop is awesome.

Neighborhood place. Bar, grocery, laundrymat and guest house all in one. Good Shrimp Poboy and a nice place sit outside and enjoy our hood.
Buy a bottle of wine up front, then find a table in the backyard to order food and listen to live music. Totally cool.
Local legend Kermit Ruffins plays Thursday nights. Show starts at 8/8:30pm but I recommend coming at 11pm just before the second set, when the (free) red beans & rice are served and the crowd thins.

Surprisingly good burritos. Chipotle style where you choose ingredients as they make your burrito. $4 burritos is a deal! I've lived in San Diego and know the good stuff- this place holds up!
At first glance, this jam-packed outlet looks overwhelming, but digging unearths treasures like Chloé shirts for $150 and Marni dresses for (a shocking) $200.
Wonderful brunch menu! Try the eggs dumaine - ham, poached egg, & hollandaise served on a fried green tomato.
Let's be honest here folks... While there is certainly a treasure trove of history at this location, the multitude of vendors hawking useless knick-knacks doesn't exactly make for a NOLA experience.

Start with a few snacks (fried hominy, trio of deviled eggs, shrimp+pork meatballs) and check out the cocktail menu. Wood oven pizzas are perfect to share. Kobe flank steak w/ fries = amazing!
If you want for a meal with a major wow factor, this is the place to get it. Try the Louisiana Crab, the Arugula Salad, and the Gnocchi.

One of the best restaurants in New Orleans, hands down! The staff is awesome. The food is creative, delicious, and there are still healthy options. Wine list is impressive, too. Easy walk from hotels.

You wouldn't think to eat German in the French Quarter, but the food is AMAZING. The service is a tad on the slow side (but polite) but the food is worth the wait. They also have a great beer list!
