Churutto Ramen is surprisingly most decent ramen on UES. Noodles were perfect & chicken broth was very good. Special Mazemen was fair. Homemade Pork Gyoza were great! Just wish they had a pork ramen.
Same Chinese owners as Sushi Ren, Tenzan & Guzan (no longer a physical shop)-all w/ ok not great sushi..so Poke is not what I’d get here.

Lunch specials are great! They have 3 different portions of soba - small, medium, and large for the same price. I got the medium and couldn't finish. Don't b greedy and waste food!
Started with Kaisou Salad, excellent and fresh! Followed by the epic Gyoza! Crispy on the outside/tender on the inside. Was perfection! Loved the miso soup. Yakitori Don was awesome. Great experience
Excellent. Try the traditional Yakisoba beef (kobe). For a great experience try different dishes (portions are small and could be share around the table).
YUM! My fave yakitori were the Momo (chicken thigh) and Tsukune (chicken meatball). Also delicious are the Tako Wase (marinated octopus) and Mizore Gake (fried eggplant).
Altho’ Ippudo still reigns supreme among ramen spots w/ its broth & my fave bowl, Akamaru Modern, its strict no take-away (even w/ leftovers) & no extra-garlic-oil-on-side policies are turn-offs.
Avocado Lobster is amazing!Our server Andrew, very knowledgeable of his menu. The food all around was stellar, the service was exceptional. You get what you pay for!!! We will go back for sure!
Teppan lobster brushed with ponzu and served with 9 sauces, mushrooms and shishito peppers & seared scallops sushi. Skip tuna sashimi with chilli. Shaved ice dessert between 2-4 & choc mousse
Servers are excellent - helpful with sake & menu recommendations. The food was great as well - had the lobster avocado salad, wagyu skirt steak, garlic rice, and sashimi - it was all excellent.
Maybe I've been spoiled by the many great sushi joints (eg. Yasuda, Gari, 15 East, etc) in NYC but I wasn't wow'ed here. "Creative" rolls & dishes were overly-mayo'ed or sauced + there was no uni.
Corn & onions come w/ steak. Get small salad+potatoes OR garlic rice (barely enough for 2). Use both Pepper & Onion dressings on salad. Head to back section for real table instead of hi-tops up front
Steaks are “wet-aged” for 40+ days. Sirloin was tastier & leaner than Ribeye, which was 1/4 fat. Gals: opt for 8-10 oz & Ikinari sauce (a lil’ goes a long way). No need for sides if U get rice.
No-frills Jap steak chain has quality cuts made to order(by oz). $25 Restaurant.com cert (end bill~$50) got us a 10oz sirloin+top ribeye+1 garlic rice w/ corn & steak bits+2 Cokes+1 sm radish salad.
While original E Village location doesn’t take reservations, this 1 & Chelsea do. :)
Best upscale teppanyaki in HK! The foie gras, abalone, Kobe beef, duck, & uni make it worth every pretty penny! ;9
You won't find this Beef Dried Curry anywhere else - ground beef, grapes and curry mix topped with eggs and fried onions. So good.
