Slow lift but good for the last runs at the end of the day as this part of the mountain has been in the shadows all day and isn’t slushy.
Take this 100% do NOT keep going on Woodlawn. It is a flat horrible hell that you will never return from.
Great place to stay at Solitude, easy mountain and car access. Big but clean and worth the price..
Food is surprisingly good with the elk tenderloin the standout. Service is beyond disinterested and bar is slow but the cocktails are good for Utah.
Oysters are good and fish specials are fun but kind of crazy overpriced for food. Citation cocktail is great. Nice patio.
Best option in Baker for fresh made food. Drive thru usually isn’t too busy. People inside are interesting…

Good scenic stop between Phoenix and Tucson to rest your legs and take a little hike up the smaller saddle to get a nice view. Lots of history about a small civil war battle is cool. Friendly rangers.
Unsung and remote NPS site that is worth seeking out. Loved the echo canyon loop trail and beautiful scenery and rocks. Worth spending a whole day.
Fantastic hike with ever changing and stunning vistas and rock formations. Go counter-clockwise for an easier hike. Great for kids in the winter.
We were shocked at how good the wine is here. The Cab Franc and Temp being standouts. I never thought we’d join an Arizona wine club but we did! Cute cottage and porch.

Very crowded on weekends but still cool. Great place for kids to play especially if they are into Star Wars. Sunset ranger talk is a nice bonus.
Awesome view across the valley. Well worth the drive. In winter you’ll find pockets of snow at the top.
Worth visiting both sections of the park as they are fairly different in feel and scenery

Neat old building with good food at Maynard’s where you can eat outside and watch trains go by.
