Chloe Condon: Grouchy bar tenders, good beer selection.

Eater: The godfather of the market-fresh cocktail movement in San Francisco, situated in an unexpected nook of the TenderNob, with a pool table, a smoking patio and some flattering soft lighting, to boot.

Eater: This address has housed a bar of some description since 1907, and it feels like it. Think classic cocktails, abundant antiques, some live jazz, and the dress code is, blessedly, Fedora optional.

Nick Fullmer: Best brewery in SF. Amazing line-up of beers along with a great food truck schedule. Not only do they offer growler fills in 750ml, 32oz 64oz sizes, they also fill amber hued ones from other places.

Kurt Nelson: Grab a slice of garlic clam if you want a snack; add another slice for a meal.

Kurt Nelson: Lurk from Jack Kerouac's old seat upstairs or join the mostly locals sitting at a bar stool

Kurt Nelson: Solid beer list, plenty of regulars, and now one of the plantyist parklets in the city.

Kurt Nelson: Probably the best beer happy hour in the city. Great stuff for 5 to 6 bucks a pint.

Dave S.: Not a vegetarian? Then this place is for you. Cafeteria style food, but so cheap, so good. And a fantastic selection of beer.
