Named after Nathaniel Greene, second in command under George Washington. Lived in Savannah 60 days, died of a heat stroke. Eli Whitney invented the cotton engine on Greene's plantation in 1794.

Wonderful example of iron clad warship. Really well preserved detail inside of how the navy lived.

Built in 1915, it is one of three Fort Derussy’s in the USA. Each were built during the American Civil War, and today it is a dedication to all the branches of the military.

Built by the Royal family after a 1755 earthquake, this has been turned into a museum in 1938. Lots of interesting collections of paintings, sculptures, glassware could be found here.
Pirates were hanged here in the 1700s. Today, this public park at the tip of the peninsula is shaded by stately oak trees and lined with benches and surrounded by stunning Antebellum mansions.
During the Jim Crow Era, African Americans were excluded from the parks in Chas, esp the Battery Park which was said to be a premier location in the city during that time. Watch video for more info. 続きを読む
This is the original settlement of Charleston. It was prone to more attacks from the Spanish although found the indians helpful. They grow their own indigo and cotton and also have a zoo there. The
