- Anju Prasad7月 24, 2018Lovely little island. It’s fun to walk along the causeway as the tide is lowering. We wandered around & didn’t go into the castle or gardens and it was still a great short walk.
- Adam Taylor5月 14, 2015Massively enjoyed both the castle and the gardens. The gardens especially with their specific detail on succulents placed playfully in every crevice of rock they could reach. One for landscape geeks!!

- Mallory Napolitano6月 20, 2021Well worth a visit (try to walk on the causeway one way, and boat the other), the house is interesting and beautiful, but the gardens are breathtaking. Take a picnic or visit one of the food kiosks.
- Adam Taylor5月 14, 2015Loved both the castle and the gardens. The gardens especially. Highly recommended for anyone with a love for landscapes and gardening. The causeway is also a great picture spot!
- Ian McL5月 7, 2019Ferries go over (when the causeway is covered) before the opening time for the castle and gardens. Worth getting there early, around 10:00 before it gets busy. Gardens are well worth going into.
- Stacie Styles7月 21, 2013Walk across the causeway at low tide. The castle and the views are amazing. Make sure to wear shoes that are good for climbing- the climbs aren't for the timid. Make sure to see the gardens!
- Natalie Caine7月 21, 2021This was the highlight of our trip to Cornwall - beautiful scenery, castle and grounds so well kept, unique tidal island.
- Jesse Ruysch7月 29, 2018Beautiful place with a lot of history and great lookouts! Especially the church in the heart of the castle which is from the 12th century!
- Steve Switzer9月 29, 2017Just about everything is fantastic - heck of a climb though. But when you get to the top - wow! Both outside & in.
- Peter Verhoye7月 25, 2017Better than its French counterpart in all its aspects! And the walk towards the mount over the causeway is lovely!
- Francesca Ribaudo8月 7, 2017Lovely place if you tide is out you grab the boat but if not ca walk along the corseway. Only downfall is that there is no information to tell you what the palace is about.
- Ksenia7月 4, 2015You won't be too excited if you have seen Mount St. Michel, but some people like this one better, it's absolutely adorable even just to walk around after everything is closed.
- Armelle De Oliveira3月 14, 2015Going by feet when it's low tide is a must-do but be sure that the castle is open before going there
- Pascal De Mul8月 1, 2016Come just after high tide when the road to the Mount is still partially under water. Great experience to wade through.
- Anthony White5月 12, 2013If you have a little one, take a sling or carrier. It's not pushchair friendly. You can also hire petty nifty hip seat carriers but they can be a little awkward.
- Stephen Crocker6月 21, 2015The views are excellent and the castle and gardens are very nice but the climb is a bit steep.
- Matt Brown5月 11, 2010If you're in Cornwall, this is a must see. The tide covered the causeway while we were inside, so we took an unexpected boat trip back to the mainland. Oh, and do the gardens. Beautiful.
- Caleb Storkey7月 18, 2013Wait till the tide comes back in for an impromptu swim! Makes it way more exciting.... ;)
- Jaryd Carolin8月 6, 2015There can be waits to enter the castle itself during busy season, so plan accordingly.
- James Craig-Brown7月 18, 2012If its wet/raining....foggy - the cobbles leading up to the castle will be slippery!
- Anne-marie1月 20, 2013You have to get back to land before the tide comes in, otherwise it's a rowing boat back
- Moray Souter9月 21, 2012Do your research before visiting, there are no audio tours and the staff are not helpful.
- Doug Shaw8月 6, 2013Total tourist trap. Castle expensive and the little of it you get access to is pretty lame. View from outside is one if few redeeming features.
