With 21 acres, this is the largest single-run arts centre in the world. The Royal Festival Hall, Hayward Gallery, and Queen Elizabeth Hall form the backdrop to the hustle and bustle of markets.

14 January: The people at Ice Bar have built a permanent wintry experience out of ice harvested from the Torne River in Northern Sweden and kept permanently at -5 degrees centigrade.
10 February: Drink in the pub where Lenin and Stalin 'first met'. Some claim that they met in the pub which is now called the Crown. Lenin had recently moved publication of Iskra to Clerkenwell Green.
