The ghost of an unidentified Civil War soldier has been seen walking the halls here. He can also be heard walking in the attic and likes to knock on doors.
This house was built by General Edward Hand in 1793. He died in the house in 1802 and his son committed suicide there a few years later. The house quickly became known as haunted.
