This is truly Canada's worst Airport for Checked Luggage. I highly recommend you travel with Carry-On luggage only or you'll be waiting very long.

Lufthansa11月 8, 2012Beautiful parks and beaches entice a trip to the small group of islands in Lake Ontario. Ferries take you from the foot of Bay Street to the about 3 km off the port located Toronto Beaches.
Good airport, plenty of places to look in or eat/drink at whilst waiting for your flight.

If you have GOES/Nexus, you don't have to fill out the blue US customs card to enter the Nexus line
Nice free WiFi and its an airport so the variety of stuff in the departure lounge is good

Free wifi is a win, though have to keep reconnecting on an iPhone via Safari. US pre-immigration lines can be very long, so leave plenty of time if going there.
Air Canada Cafe in Terminal 1 a peaceful place to wait... with espresso bar.

Cheez Cake6月 7, 2013If you're flying international (terminal 1) and need to drop off your rental car you must enter through terminal 3, drop off your rental, and then take a shuttle bus to terminal 1. Good luck!

They have new scanners at passport control for Canadian residents. Scan your passport and your declaration card then you are on your way.

U.S. Customs is the bane of my existence. If you're flying to the U.S., factor in at least a good 15 minutes.
If you are going to the U.S. and don't have GOES/Nexus, plan on arriving at least 2 hours early. The US Customs preclearance takes at least an hour of queuing to go through.
Many shops quote tax free prices and then add tax on at the till without telling you

r Dave5月 1, 2011Never, ever connect internationally through Pearson. Double immigration and customs for the US-bound; plan to add two plus hours. (The inter-terminal baggage protocol alone boggles the mind.)- Easy to navigate. Gates to USA could have better options and restrooms small.
