    beautiful hotel! very friendly staff! a little thrown off at first by the model photo shoot in the welcome area but everything else was great! in the middle of downtown! can walk to everything!

    This hotel was designed by architect Louis Asbury, Sr. & opened as the Mayfair Manor in 1929. Half of the original 100 rooms were rented by permanent tenants & thrived even during the Great Depression

    Good hotel. Not fancy but still very nice place. Good service. A bit noisy with traffic outside.

    Service was great. They worked hard to make is feel appreciated, and it made up for a couple silly maintenance issues we noticed.

    When the hotel was built in 1929, the Dunhill Hotel was the tallest building in Charlotte at 10 stories.

    Gotta try the Love Loaf @ the resturant next door. The service is slow. So prepare for a long dinner. The staff here is great and awesome bartender!

    Of all the hotel’s many rooms, patrons claim room 906 to be the most haunted.

    Pete the barman is fantastic and ensure the hotel bar feels more like your local than a hotel bar

    BEST hotel downtown. Monticello restaurant is great. Only european hotel in the city.
