Jonathan Yan8月 16, 2014The chipotle chicken sandwich is super tasty, great for a small/medium lunch. If you're looking for something larger, maybe go for a large salad with chicken or fish.

Also, the soup is spectacular.- the kyoto salad here is crazy good: peppered crusted ahi tuna, mixed greens, seaweed, somen noodles, tofu, edamame, sprout, carrots, sesame seeds, miso sesame dressing, and a hint of awesome
Kyoto salad is da bomb. Don't go here in a hurry...pretty much EVER. Pad 15 minutes to their estimated time and you'll be happy - this includes order ahead app. Darn good salads!
Kimberly S10月 10, 2013The Osaka salad is my go-to... Sometimes they skimp on the ahi tuna but overall it is filling. Love that it has brussel sprouts, too!
If you're thinking of getting here early to beat the lunch rush, don't bother - the place is filled with DoorDash and other delivery folks picking up for local offices, and you're behind them.
Even if you order take-out with OrderAhead, be prepared to wait an extra 10-15 minutes at lunch time if you order anything other than salads. time of ordering to time of getting food = 60 minutes
for a guilty indulgence: grab one of the chocolate brownies with nuts for desert. always fresh, soft and irresistible! maybe the best in palo alto!
Call at 9 with your order to pick up at 11. They are swamped with catering orders and you can still wait awhile when you show up at 11

This is a great place for a lighter meal option (just hold the dressing on the side!).

Ash1月 14, 2010ry Somen noodle salad ($8.45) — a happy jumble of Japanese somen noodles, mixed greens, kaiware sprouts, carrots, bean sprouts, crispy wonton strips and roasted chopped peanuts all dressed with a ligh- the chipotle chicken sandwich is unreal. great flavor, filling and a nice kick! such a hidden gem on this stacked menu.

- sprout makes a meeeeeean chocolate chip cookie. Do it. You can find them under the kettle chips by the register
Always use orderahead app during busy times. Skip the line and go to the cashier to pick up your order. They get very busy and chaotic during lunch in there.
Pooja11月 8, 2014Pomona salad: good but less quantity. Didn't fill me up as much as the salads at La Boulange. Also very pricy for the quantity and taste.- get the harvest salad and substitute grilled chicken for the potatoes. fresh, healthy and delicious!

I love their salads that you can make yourself. Also try their egg rolls. Good lemonade too.
Don't be fooled. The "crispy potatoes" in the steak sandwich are fancy potato chips. And that is awesome.
M11月 17, 2013they forgot one of my toppings (realized after I left :/). the service of the person at the register was not friendly at all and very off-putting. the salad was still delicious though.
Apparently Friday evenings are when they are epically careless with 75% of the orders, therefore holding everything up. I can't believe they still keep shorting people on their orders.
Order ahead, for gods sake... Or you'll spend your entire lunch waiting for lunch.- Belinda Jansen8月 8, 2013Warning to Vegans and the lactose-intolerant: they put yogurt in their hummus. Weirdos.
- Be diligent that they don't mess up your order. This is the 19th time they've messed up mine. It's unfortunate when you find out they did when you finally get home an hour later. So pathetic.
- The shrimp sandwich is the best sandwich I've had. Definitely the best tasting dish on university ave
- They still "forget" to put your extra $1 toppings. I tried tipping more, that didn't work. I tried not tipping at all. Didn't work either. Either skip the $1 toppings or make sure they're there.
