Now long termparking shuttles won't let you off curbside. You have to skybridge it! Call or write SAN and complain....for now allow time to get there.
Zeqing Li3月 29, 2014Transfer in San Diego Airport is painful. You need to go out of security and wait for a small shuttle bus to transfer you to other terminal.
Pretty and clean but bags always take forever to arrive. They also often tell you the wrong carousel number.

Terminal two is absolutely fantastic, terminal one leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Use Torrey pines town car to get to airport. Best car service around. They treat you like royalty.
The terminal construction has many of the food spots closed so unless you want California Pizza Kitchen bring your own food.
After going thru the body scan, reward yourself with a cocktail before your flight!
Ranked #10 most dangerous airport to land worldwide... Ill worry about that when I get back... SD love

Love Alaska Air, but their terminal here isn't my fave. Super small, not much to do while you wait for your flight.
FYI no Starbucks inside security for Terminal 1 Gates 1&2 area... Get your fix before going in!

If you're flying Southwest or Frontier don't plan on finding a place to drink post security.
Ok people...you're limited to one (1) carry-on and one (1) personal item. And once on the plane put your coat under your seat. Leave the overhead bins for other passengers' bags.- Andrew Conley5月 22, 2010BUY THE EXPRESS TICKETS! They cost a little more.. but it helps! You get to go through the FAST security lane..It saved me a lot of time!
The food courts are closed due to endless construction. If you pass a food stop you like, take it.- Not much to it, but easy to get around and fairly quick and painless with TSA-Pre.

To all the d-bags that seem to think you have to practically stand on the baggage claim belt - its ok to stand behind the black line and NOT stand right in front of a person waiting on their bag.

Erica Ota9月 4, 2013For being such a big city...this airport sure is small. Maybe its just Terminal 1. And the food choices are VERY limited, unless you like sandwiches. Seems thats what Terminal 1 only carries.
I enjoy the pat downs. Truly some of the best on the west coast!
If flying Southwest, get your boarding pass first, then get in the Express Bag Drop-off line. Both those lines are short.
Check in for Continental at United (for domestic flights at least; I'm not sure about international). Yeah, that's confusing.
If you are flying out of gates 1 or 2, it's a separate security check (even if you're just connecting). Very limited food selection in gate areas. Needs a serious update to facilities.
