I’ve enjoyed Afuri’s Yuzu ramen in Japan and the US, and I’ll say the quality remains. Great to have terrific Japanese food here without flying to Japan!
Sally Lunn, a Huguenot refugee (French Protestant), came to this bake-house in 1680 and started to make rich, light, round ‘Bunns.’ The Sally Lunn Bunns and the blend tea are fantastic for lunch.
I loved the few hours to relax in the roof pool and go in the different steam rooms. Nothing else like it in England.

On June 3, 1515, someone had the dumb idea to have an elephant and rhino fight in this plaza. The elephant immediately fled, trampling people on its way. I think of that story every time I’m here.
