Flying American? Get a dropped off at the premium doors. You can check your bags with the 1st & Biz class folks, avoiding the herd at the main check. Can't go in premium security though! :D

Order a car from Alto and they can still pick you up and drop you off at the terminals. Lyft and Uber now have a lot you have to take a shuttle to/from.

Uber/Lyft/Taxi pickup: Take the free LAX-it shuttle on the arrivals level. The shuttle will take you to an outside lot where you can get in your ride-share. UberBlack can pick up at the terminal.
Transferring from an international to domestic flight is really confusing - you will need to go through customs, then go outside, and either walk or talk a bus to your domestic terminal.
Of the domestic terminals United stands out as peaceful, cleaner and with nicer food options. The United Club is one of the nicer airport lounges with a great outdoor area.
The Southwest Airlines wing is under construction, so the Mexican stand where the bartender tells jokes & serves margaritas is closed. :( Now Idk what to do with my life before my plane takes off. Lol
Jacqueline L.2月 7, 2023Uber/Lyft pick-up is at LAX-it on the east side of T1. If flying into T1, just walk, as the shuttle often skips pick-ups. Probably the best international terminal in the states, you can have enough juice to charge your phones. You don't have to hunt for power supply and the provision for USB is a cherry on the top. LA 👍
The restrooms near baggage carousel 4 by the Air Canada office never has a line. You'll see a fooseball game in the cages for unclaimed items. It's been there almost 2 years now (from my knowledge).

Tom Broadly international terminal is the best terminal at this airport. If you arrive at night get your bags, take the escalator upstairs and have your driver pick you up at departures. It's always gridlock at arrivals at night. I promise!
April C.11月 1, 2017Just learned about the vegan eatery "Real Food Daily". It's hidden at the end of Terminal 4 near the multi-gates cul de sac, behind the French bakery, next to the big yellow food truck.
Staci Kinshella10月 26, 2013If you are "stuck" at LAX in Delta terminal 5 I suggest grabbing a Lemonade from Lemonade, sitting by gate 53B to charge your devices and listen to a good variety of 70's and 80's from Rock & Brews.
If you have a couple of extra hours between flights -- the LAX Observation Deck is open Sat/Sun from 9a to 5pm. You can see all the way to Downtown LA while taking in the airport hustle n bustle.
Be patient, LA prefers chaos and congestion over organization. There is method to the madness here.. just by the time you find it, you’re boarding. :)
AA terminal now has a Real Food Daily hidden where the Burger King used to be. Pre flight juice and other organic plant based foods

Samantha Mendaros6月 24, 2014Avoid the $17 croissant sandwiches at the "farmers' market." If you're hungry near the Delta terminal, the white truffle mac n cheese at Lemonade is the best deal you're going to find - $4.75!
When in terminal 4, eat at Homeboy Cafe! Best food in the terminal, great artwork, and buy food knowing it helps Homeboy Industries, a favorite LA nonprofit doing great work in our community!
Got a long layover? Take the Lot C shuttle to the bus depot. The R3 will get you to Venice in 15 minutes, where there's great food, coffee, and a beach to walk around.

This airport is pretty nice! It’s clean with good places to eat like CHICK-FIL-A! There’s also a candy shop and MAC makeup store. I don’t wear MAC but informing you in case you do 😉 Prices good!- Book a SuperShuttle online or call to make reservation... It's less money than taking a taxi, & also much cleaner. Plus you may get discount codes through Travelocity. P.S - they take credit cards!!

Kelley L.8月 24, 2019Yes, the traffic is pretty awful here, but it is still better than JFK. 😂 In all seriousness though, the shuttle buses are not bad and the renovation is going well. TSA precheck is fast and a must!
Try the security line up the stairs to the left when entering. If you have hours to spare, go back out, find "The Parking Spot" blue bus and make your way to the nearby In-N-Out. Much cheaper and more satisfying than any airport food!
