My new favorite place in the sunset! Authentic Chinese food, delicious dumplings and noodles--I'm partial to the beef tendon and spicy beef (one of the specials on the wall, not on the menu).
Cheap and hearty pho. The best. Get the one with chicken
Pros: Incredibly nice staff, free (but sometimes kind of slow) wifi, convenient location, decent place to get work done. Cons: knitting parties on Monday nights that take up 20 seats. Wtf
Giant portions, tofu scramble is delightful (not vegetarian though, includes sausage), hash browns are crisp. Cash only
Simply awesome place. Food is amazing. Service is friendly. Excellent for vegans, folks who keep Kosher, and folks who love tasty food.
Not the best Indian food I've had, but the staff is incredibly nice! Also comes with chai and rice pudding.
Great place to see any free concert on a good weather day, but foggy most others. Bad place to be if you are allergic to mosquitoes or have a seat on the hill.
The rainforest is super cool. Also I hear good things about the planetarium but have only gone for nightlife (Thurs, $12, 21+) and am always late.
Free entry before 10am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Great city walk Fridays @ 9:30am also.
This place is good but overhyped. Long wait even at 2pm and the eggs in jail was a tad too runny. The bread is great though

Soup dumplings, spicy tofu, spinach dumplings, string beans and tsing tao. Reservations are helpful. Not fancy, lots of local families. Great for a group.
The dry fried chicken wings and string beans are legit. Otherwise, call me crazy, but this place is a tiny bit overrated. You can skip the line and get takeout from next door--20 minute wait.
Tiny, sometimes longish lines but never more than 30min. You will leave smelling of food. Seafood pancake!
It's a small space but packed with plants. Bring a friend who knows a lot about plants to get the best experience

Great little cheese shop with fresh pasta, freshly made sandwiches, knowledgeable staff. The sandwiches would be better toasted but are good regardless
The falafel is good. Platters are inexpensive and very salty (which can be good or bad)
Cash only, toasted. Funny dynamic between the mom and her sons. All the sandwiches kind of taste the same if you get everything on them (mustard, vinegar, etc.), but it's a good taste.
Great vegetarian and meat options, honey wine, ambiance, super friendly owners. (i.e. One of them saw me struggling to carry my bike up the stairs after a long ride and carried it up for me!)
Cool little addition to the neighborhood! Fits in perfectly with punk/alt vibe of this section of the 'hood.

Incredibly friendly staff. Wifi. Plentiful seats and outlets, except no outlets by the window. Delicious toast. Get the Hangover. They serve Four Barrel. This place is amazing.

Fresh, hand pulled noodles are the star of the show, and the atmosphere is worthy of date night. Don't miss the Qishan Minced Pork Noodles.
Okay, the service is a tad slow but much improved. The sushi is pretty fresh, and I like that the chirashi includes seaweed salad. Also good presentation

It's not something to call home about, but it's definitely not bad. The garlic noodles are really good.
A friendly, family-run joint, there's tons of imported asian fare, from cleaning supplies to shampoo to candies and food. Check out the little freezer by the register for the really great stuff!
Try out the samples at the Hummus Heaven booth! Artichoke Hummus & Chipotle Hummus are my faves!
