For the health conscious, Tiergarten is a great place to get away from IFA. Take a jog with everyone training for the Berlin marathon which takes place just three weeks after the event.
on saturdays you will find a normal market place, on sunday its a great fleamarket around /w great vinyls, clothes, nerdy stuff.. its 'hip' to be there.. ;)

This protestant church is a great piece of history where you'll see reminders of the war. Do not miss the Memorial Hall at the church's west tower to see some exhibits about the church's history.

See some original remains of the Berlin Wall. Watch the documentary movies at the visitors centre.
A bit touristy supposedly, but I adore it! fresh oranje juice for 1 euro, delicious waffles with nutella, second hand clothing and new designers. Don't miss the outdoor karaoke!
Das Schloss wurde im Krieg vollständig zerstört und neu aufgebaut. Daher ist es nicht wirklich historisch. Aber der Schlosspark ist wunderschön.
