Grab two drinks at the bar, it will take you a while to get back to order again. Stick to the very good cocktail list, as the beer selection is small.
Tremendous atmosphere in this cool speakeasy. If available, ask for the "lookout" seats, which allow you a good view of everything. I loved the St. Germain (original) cocktail.
Follow the rules on the menu (especially the all important Rule No. 5: Be patient) and try to relax. This place is as much about the experience as it is about the drink.
The Manhattans are well made here. This place is literally another world. Make sure you wear your best.
Get here early to enjoy the fantastic cocktails. Otherwise, you'll be waiting for 20-30 mins to order a drink.
Try the "Ward 44," a delicious blend of grenadine and pork belly whiskey. The mixture of savory pork and sweet cherry flavors is equivalent to a party in your mouth.
Check out the diverse selection of old cocktail recipe books on the left side of the bar, and then have one of the bartenders make your newly-discovered drink. They're always ready for a challenge.
Don't sleep on the beer selection. Although there are only a few taps, they've got it going on.

All the places at the bar have plaques with titles. Find the one labeled "Reserved For Control"; it's the best seat in the house.
Head to the Whiskey Library and watch whatever manly movie they're playing (we had "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"). Don't fret if you have to use the men's room, there are TVs in there too.
Order something simple that you enjoy from the bar, and then sit and sip while you enjoy the spectacular views. I suggest going during the day for best results.
The Harrison Sicilian gives an almond-y twist on the Manhattan. I recommend it if you like Amaretto.
