The Turkish delights and cheese pastries are addictive as crack. Look in the back for exotic grains, spices, and other pantry items.
not your average breakfast sandwich! Arugula, cheddar, eggs and bacon on ciabatta. $6 well spent, especially if the wait at buttermilk is ridiculous.
The Red Hook Blend coffee is killer but for lunch order a roast beef (made daily), fresh mozzarella & tomato sandwich on a roll from Caputos It's the biggest sandwich you've seen for $5 and damn good!

An American bistro with gastropub tendencies. What do we mean by that? It's the little things, like the menu of sides that includes cajun boiled peanuts, deviled eggs and waffle chips with onion dip.
Terrific brunch. Delicious & reasonably priced - the biscuits are a must. Great espresso, too.
The cavatelli pasta alone is worth the trip to Carroll Gardens, but, then, so is the rest of the food and scene here.
Been getting my morning coffee here every day for 4 years! Garden out back is a gorgeous oasis in summer. Often busy but forgive the service as the eggs benedict are to die for. Best fresh juices too!
