Fun little trendy bar with seating so you can catch up with friends. If you have a large group, you can always rent out the backroom.
Protip: you can bring food in & eat it! For groups, try filet mignon tacos & duck flautas from nearby Chilango. For two people, grab a burger & sweet potato fries from nearby Burgermeister!
Well-spaced pool table and don't forget the photobooth in the back corner! Hot toddys to fight the fog and Pimms cup for summertime are the ways to go.
Blackbird has nicely stepped up its bar program. Be sure to ask for their full menu and scan the expanded selection o' spirits.
Eater4月 16, 2013An easy breezy Castro-bordering spot to rely on for a solid, sometimes rather inventive, cocktail. Blackbird has super-nice bartenders, and a fun-loving mixed crowd that rarely gets out of control.
Come on a weeknight to avoid too much of a crowd. Great spot to meet up with friends over a solid cocktail or two.

Many flock here for the Elote Old Fashioned, which will stay on the menu through December. It's been their second most popular cocktail, based on sales, says bartender Matt Grippo.
Try the Adios My Friend! Several agave liqueurs aged in a bourbon cask, served over ice with grapefruit. It's smokey goodness!

Get there early during happy hour as Blackbird quickly becomes standing room only! Great bar staff, great mixed drinks and good beer selection. Wonderful bar with ambiance and friendly people. The owner is a really great guy too! My favorite is the Trinidad Sour with Rum!
I've lost the following items here: A pair of shoes, a tutu and a sequined tunic. Its *that* good of a bar. Come early, stay late and don't forget to hit up the photo booth before you leave.

Fantastic place to grab a cocktail before heading to a show at Cafe Du Nord. Also, gotta love a place where you see super complicated cocktails being served in the same round as a bunch of PBRs.- Bring some cash and a date for top notch whiskey cocktails. Fun spot. Seating tends to be limited.

Blackbird now requires a Password for their WiFi, when I asked for the Password yesterday 24DEC13, the Bartender told me they had shut off the WiFi. You should give Customers the Password.
Handsome men, tasty drinks and relaxed vibes... a gay bar without being overtly "gay." Get there early to get a seat. Try their barrel aged cocktails!
