We went here for my boyfriend's birthday (30!!). I was looking for a restaurant with view, but also quality meals. That was perfect. The wine waiter provided excellent recommendations. Don't hesitate.
New York Magazine Cheap Eats issue names this "The Best New Cheap-Eats Joint" and promises it's "categorically worth the trip." Recommendations include, banh xeo, suon nuong xa, and ca ri ga.
Great Korean buffet & takeout options - get kimchi everything! Good for a filling, cheap meal.
Great Korean food. A nice option when you're sick if what you usually eat. I love the bi bim bap served in the hot stone bowl.
I'm a sucker for spicy miso ramen anywhere, but this one comes with big chunks of pork belly that make it extra special.
Love the dinner specials. It's always crowded but easy to grab a spot at the sushi bar.
I don't recommend getting the ramen to go but if you're craving a big bowl of noodles, this is a pretty good place to find them.
Everyone is incredibly friendly and I've never had a meal I don't like. Some Korean infusion at this Japanese establishment. Brown rice available on the rolls, and don't forget to drink some sake!
Delicious and cheap. Bring a good friend, order a lot, and drink as much hot sake as you can stand. I promise you'll leave stuffed, satisfied, and incredibly happy.

My favorite Korean BBQ place in the city (or at least in Manhattan). No more expensive than it's peers (there are special lunch and late night menus), you absolutely get your money's worth and more.
By far the best Vietnamese in the city. The Pho is wonderful. The broths are flavorful and complicated. You can go for meat, or totally vegitarian if you want, so it's perfect for varied groups!
Great food and a fun atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious.
The ginger dressing on the green salad is so good that you can drink it...not that I did or anything.
decent thai here! they have a special menu for students (cheaper price, wink wink). pad thai is gooooood.
beat other kiasu people; sit by the chef's window and have all the aburi (seared salmon) you can have. that's the best thing they serve. 😀👍
awesome dim sum place - food is so good and cheap, lots of varieties as well. nice for late-night hangouts.
generally, everything is good here. but personally I would choose the burger mozaru with butter rice & butter sauce — cheesy perfection. forever my favorite food 😙👍👍
unique concept of personalizing your meal; downside is that it could take long to prepare your food. try the ontama salmon aburi + melted cheese--yum! 😋
pretty nice and authentic japanese, but nothing really special aside from that. I like their salmon butteryaki, though.
yummy and affordable, with tons of choices. not the most authentic sushi place (most listed on their menu are fusion), but you can't go wrong with anything either. try the salmon cheese roll.
the best kopitiam in town, I'd say. all foods are decent (especially the dim sum!), prices are reasonable, and the place is pretty nice, too. there are no reasons to not try eating here. 😀
stunning Jakarta view - perfect for special ocassions. I would prefer to go during weekday lunch for the guaranteed window seat. ps — try the foie gras chawanmushi, super yum!

This is the best Thai restaurant in town. I advise you to take the Crab dishes on the thai country style page in their Menü. Great great great food, reasonable prices. :) <3

Fantastic food, generous portions, surprisingly affordable. Order the diced chicken with dry chili and long beans with dry chili. Love the Szechuan peppers.
The house salad is large and quite filling. They use spinach leaves instead of lettuce leaves.
Delicious Vietnamese food. You may have to wait for a table or else share a table with someone. Fantastic food and quite cheap.
Try their daily brown rice set. The food here will make you feel healthy! Well-established place with friendly service.
