A cozy ramen / sushi spot in an area w/ not much competition in those categories. And they nail it. Go before 8pm. It'll get busy after that. Order the Yao Yao Ramen. And the warm sake. Duh.

My new favorite ramen joint! Both the YaoYao and the Roasted Salmon ramen are out-of-this-world good. P.S. The tacos are made of wonton shells!

Alex Pyatetsky7月 6, 2017Beautiful traditional Japanese vibe. Good flavors. Not a noodle shop, more of an izakaya fusion. Wings taste good but not crispy. Pork taco was lovely traditional Japanese braise + al pastor wink.
Another East Williamsburg favorite. I switch between the rice bowl, the ramen, and the ginger scallion noodle. All are v tasty. Wash it all down with an Asahi or champagne of beers.
The Hawaiian Fried Chicken Rice Bowl is a pretty amazing dish not to be overlooked.

The Yao Yao Ramen is one of my favorites ever! It's got perfectly chewy noodles in a rich broth with super tender pork, scallions, wok-charred baby bok choy and sesame oil. Exactly what bburg needed. A brilliant ramen joint (the pork broth is amazing) w/some of the most excellent sushi I've had in nyc. The scallop sushi was so heavenly that we had a piece as dessert.
Best spot in all of Wburg for ramen and sushi. Cozy small room, awesome staff. I dream of the seasonal pea shoot salad. Also nice place to come solo and eat at the bar.
Pretty eclectic mix - sushi, ramen & tacos! Small space, nice vibe tho. Good negronis. Tacos were decent, I'll be back to try the Ramen.

It's a small place so there is often a wait at peak hours but it's really good. Try coming a bit early or late.
