The setting is positively idyllic, the type of place at which you stop for lunch between wineries, and then realize hours later that you've sat in the garden until your next destination has closed.

The Inn is absolutely lovely - stay in the Schoolhouse if possible. Breakfast is wonderful and DO try to eat at the Inn for dinner at least one night - you will not be disappointed! 続きを見る

Charming, upscale experience with impeccable views of the Virginia countryside. The patio is an excellent place to enjoy an unforgettable meal looking out into an expansive valley courtyard.

Each of the four small dining rooms has its charms; our favorite is the booth-lined, pumpkin-colored lower dining room, with alluring landscapes by local artists. 続きを見る

Try the Chocolate Covered Paw Paw - Never had heard of the native North American fruit called paw paw....sort of a cross between a banana and mango. Amazing dessert!

"You think about things here in the countryside, in an Inn with poor cellphone reception. It's gentle flavors, and tiny touches--in a touchscreen-free zone.

** 1/2 stars in Tom Sietsema's Fall Dining Guide 2011. (Tom's tip: Expect a twist to dishes when you visit this restaurant.) http://wapo.st/pyopbV

The patio is the place to sit in nicer months, but the dining room with dark wainscoting and burnt-orange walls is wonderfully cozy.

Stay in the Schoolhouse and get the seven course tasting menu at the restaurant. Then you don't have to drive after dinner!

Astoundingly good. One of the best restaurants in the region. Try the rockfish saviche and the smoked beef loin. Wine list is truly inspired.
