Great Borsht Soup = to a HK (Canto) cafe-style borscht. Crepe Aux Pomme Et Caramel tasted better after toasting in home oven. Pierogies were greasy & stuck together from poor styrofoam cup packaging
If you get a schnitzel, get the paprika sauce. Delicious and totally worth the extra dollar.
$14 brunch deal where you get your choice of beverage, pastry, and entree, including things like Kaiserschmarrn (caramelized pancake bits), scrambled eggs, or a pork belly BLT.
Both are tasty but pricey: Borsht Soup & Taste of Tbilise. Beef pelmenis were also good but, again, stuck together since they were poorly delivered & crammed into a small cup.
Decent fried chickens and various versions of hot dogs that hit the spot! There is a seating area along with beer on tap inside, and one of the staffs last time was super friendly.

If you like tea- you must order the tea and stir in the cherry preserves it's AMAZING- especially paired with some of the cranberry infused vodka (my fav).

every time I come I get: trout crepes, bratwurst mit cheddar cheese, pretzel. I am never disappointed with these 3. for dessert get the shredded soufflé with fruit compote.
If there is a line upstairs, check to see if this café in the basement is open. Hours are anybody's guess.

We loved the dumplings, zucchini pancakes, marinated mushrooms, and the smoked salmon and caviar with crepes were outstanding. Great cocktails too!
Dunno how German it really is but NE clam chowda & Jaeger schnitzel were surprisingly good. Potato pancakes tasted like hash brown patties served w/ apple sauce. Service ok.
Chill UES speakeasy w/ excellent, creative cocktails...esp "Maya Made" & "Unforgiven" made by Dan! Kitchen closes ~11:30pm. Just wish that food matched sophistication of cocktail menu & hip factor!
I read russian dumplings and I said I have to try them. Tried the chicken and the shredded beef with pork. The latter was fantastic and the pickle really adds a touch as weird as it might seem.

We ordered the meat by the 1/4 lb and 2 slices of bread, much better deal than the $17 sandwich.
Go during happy hour between 4-7pm! The atmosphere was very classy and there was live piano jazz.
Potato and cabbage dumplings with dill and soy sauce were sooo good! And the guys working there are friendly and helpful. Cool little spot.
They are by the W 4th st stop every day but Monday! Love it for a quick snack or late night eats. Get the Siberian with Gouda, sour cream and a free pickle!
