Ordered the fried chicks with collard greens and Mac & cheese as my sides. The chicken was ok. The seasoning had some flavor to it but the chicken was dry. The sides were delicious.

The food is amazing--Sunday brunch is my thing here. The chef takes pride in being consistent and using high quality ingredients... biscuits, fried chicken, the pancakes, grits, catfish--yum
I went with a large group and discovered the service was impeccable! The Mac and Cheese with the fried chicken and fried whiting were delicious!! Topped off with the Banana Pudding, our meal was great

The Sunday morning brunch is so much fun! They have live soulful gospel music to go with their fantastic classic southern brunch selection. Their fried pork chops and ribs are amazing!
Came for the amazing gospel brunch last week. The youth group who performs have incredible talent. The food is so-so, buffet style -- the draw is really the performances!!

Hot chicken wings, cornbread, Brussels sprouts, & yardbird for 2 (includes Mac n cheese and other delights) were all very good. It's a loud spot, fun for a special occasion and good for groups.
Marcus Samuelsson hit a grand slam. The ambiance is terrific; like a contemporary speakeasy. The food is even better. Try the mac & greens, crayfish grits, red caesar, and the dirty rice & shrimp!
Terrific soul food. The chicken & waffle with strawberry butter is a classic. Tuesday night live band music was incredible R&B, great singer and keyboard. Local crowd, Greta atmosphere, great service!
You know going to a Samuelson location you are in for a good time and good food. While this is a chicken joint, New Jack Fried Rice is awesome
This brand new restaurant is both homey and delicious! Meant to look like an old New Orleans mansion, the southern fare boasts favorites such as shrimp and grits, charred oysters, & crawfish po boys.
Great brunch/comfort food: Arnold Palmer, fried green tomatoes, gumbo+Waffle plate: over-easy eggs w/ bacon & regular syrup ($2 extra for Maine maple syrup) + a side of 2 sausage links ($3.50 extra)!
Sunday brunch is pretty good. I had my usual, french toast and an omelet. Nothing special, but definitely good. The white sangria is a MUST try. Popular spot w/ limited seating so get there early

The cocktails bucket of chicken, salads are excellent, Mahi mahi and pictured is County Fair Bacon pork belly dipped in funnel cake batter with black pepper maple syrup- yum!
