Very spacious Czech almost like Hungarian beer hall. Huge mugs for drafts/pitchers. Unique Czech beers and delicious varieties of mac and cheese, wedge fries, and pierogies.
$5 half liter of Pilsner Urquell to start. I'm addicted to the sheep cheese dip & the Hungarian goulash with dumplings. The Slovak pasta with sheep cheese is also delish.

The only quality deepdish pizza you'll find in NYC. This place is legit. A medium is 6 slices, split between two you'll be full but it's well worth it.

A great cheap place to get yummy steak frites. I love the concept of no menu, with a salad to start and then a full plate of fries and steak with a special sauce, and then refills!
Decent fried chickens and various versions of hot dogs that hit the spot! There is a seating area along with beer on tap inside, and one of the staffs last time was super friendly.
Cheeseboat is a must! You could share one with a side for 2 people, or as a sharing option alongside entrees for a bigger group. Add in the truffle butter, it's so decadent! Take away box if you need!

Lovely reasonably priced spot. We had brunch in the covered comfortable backyard. Group of 8 had basically the whole brunch menu and everything was good, esp the danishes obviously.
Classic but great red sauce American Italian joint. Get a pie (go with only a few toppings), baked clams, lasagna and eggplant parmigiana.
Wow. Tough to get a table but it's worth it for the authentic Spanish cuisine that made us nostalgic for Barcelona. The chickpeas, fideua paella, crispy suckling pig. Also, El Arrako = amazing drink.

Great for groups. I ordered the tagliatelle with broken meatballs sauce and it was yummy. Also got the red sangria which came in a pint glass and was really good. Great prices.

The decor of this 115-year-old place is right out of the first half of the 20th Century, a location scout's dream. It has a gyro-feta omelet, as well, which isn't an easy menu item to find. Yum yum.
Great food, slow-ish service and they messed up my,sister's dish - thankfully, quick fix and brought out proper dish quickly... all food was very tasty and flavourful, absolutely recommend to visit
note: this is a Turkish restaurant, not eastern european per the 4sq category it's in. get the lamb sauté, whole branzino, shepherds salad & 1/2 spanokopita, 1/2 sigaro - amazing!!!
