You have to try the finger licking Fried chicken and salted egg. It was sooo good till I practically lick the whole plate for traces of the salted egg.
Must-try: Blue coconut rice, Beef rendang, Ju hu char and Sambal petai prawn. Looking forward to try more dishes soon!
The staff are excellent! Food is authenthic as I'm a Nyonya myself! Tried the otak-otak and it was fillets of fish, sambal belacan was soooo good mixed with rice and dessert at the end hits the spot!
Bawang Merah is the cleanest Malay restaurant I've eve known.they have lemak masak chili and paru chili,both are crazy delicious.bawang merah doesn't have any branches btw.
Best ever! As a kelantanese I'm proud of it. It s a MUST try food for all those who have never tried before and never been to kelantan. You guys would definitely hesitate to say NO next time!
Still one of the best places to go for Nyonya food around PJ, with a reasonable price to boot. Definitely not boring or tasteless. The petai prawn is fantastic.
Best for it's ayam goreng madu and fish head curry. Be sure to do order bawang kicap to go with your curry.
Crazy yummy satay, at double the regular price. Love the wooden house setting. Drinks were extremely sweet though.
Sate kambing yang teramat amat superb! No doubt the best satay I've ever had. RM1.50 maybe quite pricy for a stick of mutton satay but every penny spent on a stick is worthy. Chicken satay were good 2
Must try the dancing fish, cumi cumi (gill squid), order homemake bailey drink, because it's free flow.
Great Baba Nyonya food. This one's pork free. The one down the street Old China Cafe at Jln Balai Polis is P friendly. Both great atmosphere. Nyonya Belacan Fried rice is good. Desserts are a must.
Nasi Ulan, kapitan chicken and vegetables were absolutely spot on delicious. No msg is a huge plus for me. Very friendly owners - my kinda place focussing on food quality
The chicken chop is a bit ex but really huge and it taste great. Fries are in cubes but they are nice size to eat.

The best nasi kandar in KL. the taste is likely similar to Penang Nasi Kandar. However Penang's better of course. Kinda expensive & not too friendly. The drinks are awfull..
Fantastic home cooked food from the southern states of Johor and Melaka with a sprinkling of Sarawak cuisine.
Inverted Karipap and ox tongue for starters. As for mains, the chicken is very subtle in its spices but succulent. The duck leg is forgettable
Ayam goreng kampung is a must, sup tulang is good too. Dont forget their sambal belacan just to add a kick. Good for lunch but come early to if u want vege with your food. Bottomless syrup drink!
Their curry mee is nice! They have 2 different versions of it, Penang or KL version. Do take note that they're selling Jawa mee on Tuesdays and Wednesdays as well.
good food good place. spicy smoked beef pasta is amazing i'd eat them everyday! nyonya nasi ulam with ayam perchik pun sedap. the gravy is quite good. like twist and strawberry soda biasa biasa saja.
Those who would like to try authentic Malay nasi briyani should come here, their kuah dhal and acar buah is so delicious.. Don't forget their ayam masak merah too, superb.. Happy trying.
This is by far the best Ikan Bakar stall that I've tasted in KL. Life-changing no doubt. It's spicy though but bearable. -Penang Kia Food Critique-

Crowded on weekends, with a very touristy feel because they sell products like frozen seafood, food stuff, etc. Signature items are the Volcano Curry Mee, pork noodles, and Geng Chau Peng.
For lovers of East Coast delicacies, Gamelan is a must go. Especially for that Nasi Dagang Terengganu, because as of now, I don't know of any place in KL that serves a better one.

My personal favourites are nasi lemak, ayam goreng, ayam rendang, daging rendang, meehoon goreng, toast bread, half boiled egg, cham ais and kedondong!
For very tasty Johor Food like Laksa Johor, Lontong Kering, Meehoon Soto and Nasi Ambeng that is served as a set.
Wonderful restaurant that serves delicious local Malaysian dishes like Nasi Kerabu, Johor Laksa, etc. Love the ambiance and decor and this restaurant is a good chill out place with family and friends!
Delicious and authentic peranakan food. The flavors of all dishes are spot on. We all loved the pong teh chicken.
