- Kara T.6月 16, 2012pierogi's. Any kind, all are delicious and amazing. As is the cabbage soup. I can't wait to go back :'(
- Rebecca Demi4月 12, 2014the burger is really greasy, so don't get it unless you like that (gross) and the pierogi's are GREAT!
- Vinaya Vishwanath6月 9, 2015The pierogi is soooo gooood. Also good is the salmon latka eggs benedict.
- Moses Nelson12月 24, 2012The pierogies are delicious! But I prefer fried over boiled. And use the applesauce....so good!
- Gansevoort Hotel Group1月 31, 2011Another NYC must try. Get the pierogies ( half fried and half boiled) and the raspberry cheese blintzes. You'll be in late night heaven.
- Elie Bleier6月 3, 2014Perfect for an after-Russian & Turkish Bath meal. Hearty food. Friendly wait staff.
- Marc Mayer4月 12, 2018Why haven’t you ordered the blintzes yet? Put your phone down and order the blintzes.
- Adrienne Borgersen10月 27, 2011This place is legendary. If you're in the neighborhood, you have to try it for classic comfort food, Ukrainian style!
- Great service with anyone who serves you, especially Arthur. Veggie Borscht is unbeatable!
- All of their Ukrainian specialties from stuffed cabbage to kielbasa to bigos (stew) are fantastic- especially late night! Try the pierogies too- great.
- Marta Frattini2月 13, 2012Delicious cherry pie! The service is not always friendly but the food is really good and prices are ok. 5$ min per person
- The burger is strangely one of the best in the city - it's different. See: http://aht.seriouseats.com/archives/2008/08/veselka-burgers-east-village-manhattan-nyc.html
- Borsht. Get it. For perogies go next door to the Ukrainian east village restaurant
- Village Voice4月 19, 2012Veselka's Ukrainian Meatball Hero voted #9 on The Village Voice's 10Best Late Night Eats in New York City: http://bit.ly/w33HqB
- Priscilla Sohan11月 15, 2013Perogies are obviously delicious, but the hidden gem here is the hot cocoa <3
- Nate Beatty7月 19, 2015Awful burgers, but good borscht and perogies. Stick to the Ukrainian menu and expect basic Ukrainian dishes (lots of white bread, cabbage, sausage, potatoes, and pancakes).
- Colleen Lima8月 23, 2013You must have the beet, goat cheese, and roasted walnut salad! It's the most delicious salad you'll ever have.
- Ben Porter9月 28, 2012Fryalator was down when i needed it most - 11pm in The East Village, c'mon folks, this is scheduling 101. Burger was commendable and cooked to requested temp.
- Barrett Lane12月 30, 2011The arugula and goat cheese pierogies are a must. Do not come here with large groups: you will not get seated or wait forever.
- Besides the delicious Ukranian dishes, their breakfast of waffles w/ raspberry sauce and their eggs are good too. Get them with a side of kielbasa.
- Jack Gashi8月 6, 2014It's open 24 hours, but I'm not sure that's a good thing. There needs to be a special name for a hangover with kielbasa taste in your mouth.
- Colette Q5月 11, 2013Stuffed cabbage w mushroom gravy & egg noodles, egg noodles, egg noodles! + sour cream & beets !! Yesssss
- Amy Kille4月 22, 2012Pierogies are amazing!! The borscht is too :) Can't really go wrong with anything here!
- Logan Kerr3月 24, 2016God I love Veselka. Where else in NYC can I buy dumplings and banana cream pie at 4am?
- Mr.Grey10月 3, 2010My favorite 24-hour diner in NYC. Always check out the pierogi specials. The borsch has the power to cure any illness. It could grow a limb.
- Dens6月 15, 2011I went with the kielbasa and the cherry lime rickey. Pay your respects to the Honey Bear painting on the wall.
