Hidden behind a somewhat ordinary (slightly shabby) storefront you find the best vegetarian/vegan sandwiches of NYC. Starting from around $7. They're big enough to be a decent evening meal.
My favorite sandwich is the Free Bill (hoping it’s not about Bill Cosby). The sandwichartist definitely plays favorites and unfortunately I’m not one of them but overall it’s worth it.
I had The Donkey for the first time last night on a recommendation from a friend @ 2:30am. Great sandwich for sopping up alcohol after a night of revelry without having to eat ridiculously unhealthy.
Sandwiches are okay for a street deli, the deli clerk is the worst person I’ve ever met, completely entitled sandwich maker. If there ever was such a thing.
