Tonnarelli al'astice (pasta with lobster) highly recommended. Bring cash: despite the credit card signs on the window, they only take cash (€72 for lunch for 2... a bit pricey).
Quiet, romantic restaurant in a narrow ancient street downtown Rome. Italian specialties, homemade bread, pasta, meat, fish and delicious desserts, good wines. Polite staff.
If you enjoy overwrought menu descriptions, underflavored food, servers who default to English, and large groups of drunk undergraduates, then enjoy. But for Italian food, go elsewhere.
