The 7pm tour has a great sunset! Live jazz and a Mississippi River Breeze to make it more awesome! Avoid the dinner, go to the upper deck and make a reservation at 9:15pm in a cool restaurant around!
Fun experience. If I were to do this again I wouldn't sign up for the 11AM seating; I'd do a later one. The food was pretty good overall though; I loved the okra. They sell other food on the boat FYI.
The evening dinnercruise scheduled for 7-9pm starts boarding at 6pm. If you've booked for the early sitting make sure you arrive for boarding at 6pm because they start serving once you've boarded.
Nice way to take a break from the city and enjoy the river breeze! However, it's nicer if you have a group, alone it can be boring (the music is for the folks eating and the views are not that great)
Loved it - really great way to see the Mighty Mississippi. We did not do lunch or dinner, so can’t comment on food, but the tour and boat were great. A good value!
The food is great (red beans and rice as brewed pudding are so good)and the staff are kind. The captain loaned me his jacket since I was soak and wet from the NOLA rain.
Muy buen viaje, siéntate arriba en el lado izquierdo del barco (ahí dan la mayoría de la explicación). Además, si bajas al primer nivel puedes ver los dos motores funcionando.
The tour narration is great. Skip the food. It's served cold and the options are very limited! This is supposed to be a jazz cruise the music is sporadic you'll be lucky to hear 3 songs 😏
Strong cheap drinks, nice ride on missippi, a bit over priced but one of last two fully functioning steamboats in USA. Go downstairs to see Thelma and Louise the two engines!
Food and drinks are good and strong, the views from the boat are great with lots of unique trivia. The food presentation could be better but it taste good.
The hostess, Gina, was incredible. Actually hugged her at the end. So friendly, personable and devoted to giving us a good time. She recommended the punch, which was also very libatious ;-)
Cruise the Mississippi on the paddle-wheeler, which departs from Toulouse Street Wharf. You’ll be treated to live jazz on-deck, and you can opt for lunch or dinner on board if you like. -Travel Editor
Save your money. Take a picture of the boat and call it a day. My high schoolcafeteria had better food. 30 minute commentary followed by 90 minutes of silence instead of the promised music.
