At the east and west approaches of Qasr al-Nil Bridge there are two large stone lion statues guarding each entrance, they are late 19th century works by Henri Alfred Jacquemart.
a Stunning place, a vast open space lying in the bosom of the hills, with dramatic colored carvings all over the mountain. Carvings were done by a Polish Artist , representing stories from the Bible.
