Great tea house in the back with a lovely garden. A lot of interesting relics there, you feel like entering Croft manor. Definitely recommended. 12% service charge is included.

renewed square under the elisabeth bridge. one of the best spots of pest side, you must visit. there are some great fountains
Wow two of the most amazing sculptures I have ever seen, and that is saying something after all the traveling we've done :)
well designed, modern shopping mall, the best one on buda side. good stores and eating spots, a small square near the building with rocks you can lay on. tram 4 final station
an ancient monastry which is now a museum for temporary exhibits; should also be possible to hire the place for parties, since i've been there to attend one!

One of the greatest pubs in Budapest. Great mixture of people, try the burger its huge and yummy.
It's easy to get here by tram nr. 4-6 or subway (red line). Tesco Disco takes place here regularly, and of course, you can see here the best Hungarian indie bands. Entrance from Somogyi Béla street.

budapest's best asian fast foodrestaurant. try chicken with muer mushroom or wok chicken and drink japanese tea. well designed interior. it's hard to find table between 12-2 pm
Tiny but wonderful park in the middle of the city. Find a bench and spend an afternoon here while doing nothing :)
THE party hostel in Budapest with bar on site, late night room, beer vending machine and staff who know how to party hard!
Get a Balkan burger (huge beef patty, doughy bun, cabbage, pickles, toppings). Wash it down with a beer. Then kick back and wonder why we don't have such chill hangouts in the US. Sigh.
The sirloin with scallop potatoes and fried onions is outstanding. Steak is extremely tender and flavorful. Avoid the humus it's grainy lacking lemon and garlic. Thumbs up overall.
I hope someday I'll skip chicken pad thai, and I can proceed to other items on the menu. a fav.

Vapiano is hidden behind the main shopping streets but it's always crowded. You'll find a lovely choice of pizza, pasta and salads here. Don't forget to look at the monthly specials!

Taste Trio tenderloin, T-bone or N.Y. Strip. All are perfect. As a side dish go for a salad, else it becomes too heavy.

Dumplings are surprisingly good, and can rival dumplings I've had in New York's Chinatown
The best bet is to order the "fresh from the kitchen" dishes. This is some of the best Indian food in town and better value than most if you can get over the fast food atmosphere
If you are looking for good concerts, Dürer Kert is one of the best spots in Budapest with a special atmosphere. Local indie and alternative bands play here regularly. More info at durerkert.com
Never take a taxi standing by the exit, if you need one, order it by phone because those standing there will rob you!
