- Claude Harrison9月 6, 2014Get a real NYC experience. Back of the building, down industrial looking steps, past the eerily lit janitor's closet... yeah, that's it. Sakagura. Not a sushi bar. Izakaya; and it is phenomenal.
- Untapped Cities11月 12, 2015You need to be in the know because its entrance is located in the basement of a nondescript Midtown office building, past the security desk and through a pristine white lobby. 続きを見る
- New York Habitat12月 2, 2011Amazing sake selection and the authentic food is great for a quick, casual lunch. We recommend the onsen tomago, sakagura special, and black sesame ice cream.
- Swig11月 24, 2014Great sake selection with very knowledgable workers. They very kindly will help you order the right sake for you. Remember to Swig your drink.

- Roger Schonfeld8月 20, 2014Wonderful dark underground space that comes completely unexpected. More a sake bar and Japanese restaurant than a sushi joint.
- Princess Abigail Bacani1月 23, 2013A Japanese izakaya tucked inside a Midtown office building. There are more than 200 different kinds of sake available at this highly authentic subterranean Japanese bar.
- Jessica April1月 19, 2012Hot udon is fresh and delicious. Chicken meatballs and tempora vegetables are also great. Egg custard is strange as is the cold udon. Don't recommend either.
- Try the Spicy Miso - Spicy Miso Soup with Pork. A great variation to a classic. Hope it stays on the menu! #miso #soup
- Calvin Multanen1月 16, 2015Delicious Japanese food. All of the ingredients taste very fresh and it's pretty reasonably priced, especially for lunch
- Gary4月 16, 2013While Sakagura is renowned for their sake, the highlight is actually their great izakaya-style food. It's all really good.
- Michael Tiffany8月 25, 2017Order fresh namazake if they have some in stock, particularly if you're visiting in the spring.

- michael yang6月 10, 2012Pork belly, chicken meatball, soba, and all forms of tofu are great. Am a big fan of the chocolate souffle too.
- Jason Cook5月 20, 2012Plenty of exciting stuff on the menu, but the little side dish I can't do without is the eggplant with 3 kinds of miso. Tastiness.
- ドーラ3月 7, 2011They serve great sushi and sashimi. Just tell the chef, "Omakase ," and he won't get you wrong. I like the bar as a sit-down spot for after-work sake.
- $11.50 limited daily specials 8/5-8/30/13. If you get there earlier-before 12pm- to grab one! *Changes monthly.
- Christopher Pepe4月 6, 2014The salmon roe rice balls... and the beef shoulder if they have it. Both are excellent.
