The most colorful place in Barcelona with the finest meat, cheese, fish, fruits & candy, although a bit overpriced. If you come early, La Boqueria is less crowded but fish stalls might still be empty.
This pasteleria is worth a stop, not just for its excellent desserts. Its architecture is a great example of art nouveau. Go and discover all little details of the facade.
Beautiful square surrounded by palm trees and lit by street lamps designed by Gaudi. Watch the queue in front of Les Quinze Nuits grow around dinner time.
This is where Christopher Columbus first came in Barcelona after discovering America. The tower (mirador de Martí l'Humà) is where suposedly the Queen awaited for the ships to come back from America!
Great museum. You get to see a large underground roman and medieval ruin. Plan for two hours, get the audio tour. Great value too at 7 euro.
In this square you can view the Barcelona's Cathedral Facade. This facade was in reconstruction the last few years and recently was opened again to the public.

This is one of the most beautiful churches in Barcelona and a symbol of catalan gothic architecture. It is wider than high, and hasn't got any crosses nor gold inside. Absolutely a wonderful place.

Estadi Olímpic de Montjuïc was the main stadium for the Barcelona 1992 Summer Olympics. Its great view of the harbour makes it probably the best place to check-in on Olympic Day.
Get your tickets online and avoid long queueing times when visiting the stadium. You can also buy them on the Barcelona city tour buses (the orange line has a stop at Camp Nou).
FC Barcelona's impressive 120,000-seater stadium is the world's second largest soccer ground and a must-see attraction of the city.
Be warned: the shop is always crowded, so printing player names and numbers on shirts can take as long as one hour.

Also known as MACBA, this is one of Barcelona's best museums. Has impressive collections from the mid-20th century to present. Stop by the Special Collections and Library Reading rooms.

Even though the government banned bullfighting in Barcelona (one of the first in Spain), the bull ring is still popular as a market and is still possible to enter the grounds too.
Hidden just behind Las Arenas is Joan Miró's impressive 'Woman and Bird' statue. It's a brilliant mix of colours from a brilliant artist!
Head all the way down (south-east direction) and you will finally access directly to the beach. Don't forget to stop in one of the local restaurant/cafes for bite though.

It's hard to find a bar with a decent beer selection in Barcelona. Enter BierCab: 30 beers on tap and a large bottle selection from their shop next door. The place to go if you're into craft beers.
Finally a Brewdog bar in town! They have about 10 of their own beers on tap and if you get the menu there are around 30 less common Brewdog bottled beers too.
A dream of an IPA beer lover. It feels like an exquisite gourmet place with fresh guacamole and nachos, burgers and a unique atmosphere with birds chirping outside. A rare, true, cozy gem.

There aren't many places for craft beer lovers at Costa Brava / Costa del Maresme, so if you're around you must visit this shop. Great selection of Spanish and foreign beers. Ask the owner for advice.
Nice little beach town. Go to the ancient fortress for the best panorama shots. Coming from Lloret, you'll find some more viewpoints overlooking the coastline and its numerous "calas".
Tossa de Mar's greatest landmark, offering a great view of the village below. Go and find Ava Gardner's statue too.
Go there for the best view on Platja d'es Codolar, a beautiful little beach hidden between the cliffs.
It's a steep climb to the tower, but you'll be rewarded with a wonderful view overlooking Tossa de Mar, Platja Gran and Vila Vella.
Although you will find two tombs, only Gala, Dali's muse, is buried here. Dali himself is buried in the museum in Figueres.
