A couple of souvenirs shops around the Vatican City but my favourite one is the one located on the roof of the St Peter's Basilica run by the Philippines nuns.
The summer evening tours on Friday nights beginning in May are less crowded and have a magical feel to them. The museums are overwhelming to take in on one visit, but the Sistine Chapel end is perfect
At the end od the chapel take the doors on the right. They lead directly to St. Peter chapel. ;)
Bye a ticket online. Its 4 euro more an you will avoid queuing for 4-5 hours. Whole system is way too ridiculous in fact!
An intriguing reconstruction of the giardino di palazzo. The geometrical flower beds, the pergolas and the well contribute to the sense of being in a true magical garden.
You should definitely see these three here; Michelangelo's David and Prisoners, Giambologna's Rape of the Sabines, Botticelli's Madonna and Child and Madonna of the Sea.

Of you're in Milan going to Luini is a must. Their panzerotti (fried pizza dough stuffed with all kind of goodness) are as famous as delicious. A queue is always present but they serve fast.
The best icecream I've had in Italy (and I have gelato several times a day ha). Fragoline di bosco, ricotta fig, banana and rice are all fantastic. I miss this place already.
Go to the oyster bar instead of the restaurant. No reservation needed and the view (and food) is far better... (But bring money, it's not a bargain!) :)
