Everyone who comes to Edinburgh should climb up Arthur's Seat for fantastic views of the city and the surrounding countryside.
Go on a Saturday night to see Graeme Pearson and have a pint! He's one of the most entertaining singers I've seen and knows how to please a crowd. Cozy pub with great company.
The gold experience is amazingly good value. I learnt lots about whisky and had 5 single malts - would definitely go again.
If you pay £3 you get a certificate saying you climbed 287 steps to the top. The views are stunning just make sure you go on a clear day and take a camera.

If you're in for a short walk (~1h), go to the station a bit further down the road. Hidden behind the café car starts a path along the hillside, offering beautiful views on the lake and the viaduct.

The double rooms are pretty small; you'll be living out of your suitcase in most cases. Showers are GREAT though!
The path that starts off extremely steep near the Dynamic Earth center has a beautiful view and after finishing, you can climb to Arthur's Seat relatively easily.
A great place for a haggis first timer! Their haggis, neeps, and tatties plate with whisky sauce is great!
