Phat Buoy: Nice little village. They have a Booths Supermarket so they must be posh. Take a nice stroll around the Brickcroft. Pubs not as good as they used to be with increasing percentage of coked up chavs.

Phat Buoy: Great place for a long walk in nice surroundings. Check out the gardens and have an ice-cream. Watch out for the bellsmashers on motorbikes who can be dangerous

Phat Buoy: Tonnes of childhood memories here. Enjoy the miniature steam train ride and the playground. Football matches played here on Sunday mornings.

Phat Buoy: Best curry house in Lostock Hall. Korai sauce is so tasty. Excellent mixed tikka biryani and good value meat thali on takeaway menu

Phat Buoy: Brilliant little curry place - lovely hosts. Food not western style but not eastern style either!! Interesting options but all incredibly tasty

Phat Buoy: Khmer curry and Kao Lak beef both great dishes. No frills but decent street food at a great price. Love Siem Reap and Cambodian food

Phat Buoy: Great M&S - get there early on Saturday to snaffle the best food in the "two can dine for £10" deal

Phat Buoy: Fantastic local produce on offer once a month. Worth a trip and a potter. Good local butchers and cheeses

Phat Buoy: Great range of specialist magazines. Diaries are ridiculously expensive so go elsewhere. Watch out of O2 Priority Moment offers which usually includes free giveaways

Phat Buoy: Great selection of books and literature. Amazing these places still exist given Amazon. Look out for guest appearances and book signing events
