- Just come and get lost. Lots to read and look at. Some great views of downtown too. The guide provided in the gift store is also fun to use. There are several tours year round to check out as well.
- Simply not to be missed! The unexpectedly romantic pathways ramble through ancient Victorian gardens filled with stunning architectural monuments. GREAT stories on the different guided tours!
- Oakland is the best place to eat lunch. Go to Grant Park Coffee or Ria's and pick up some delicious sandwiches to go and sit in the cemetery for the best lunch date in town!
- It's a stunning, clear crisp day here at Historic Oakland. Come visit me in the Bell Tower museum shop where I'm volunteering til 1:00.
- One of Atlanta's most interesting historic sites, this cemetery is the final resting place of Bobby Jones, Margaret Mitchell and Maynard Jackson, to name a few. Self and guided tours are available.
- A surprisingly active and beautiful cemetery, be sure to take one of the guided tours or visit for one of their events: Tunes in the Tombs, Sunday in the Park, and of course, for Halloween!

- Check out Sunday in the Park each year in October - this Victorian street festival has a lot to offer. The last couple of years have had amazing weather.
