One of my all time favorite spots. Can't leave NYC without seeing a Friday night poetry slam. Get there early (9:15ish) to wait in line if you want a seat!!

The Friday Night Poetry Slam has been a NYC institution for over 20 years and is an absolute me see! Get in line early as this tiny space fills up pretty quickly.

Get here EARLY for the open mic nights. Better yet, get a $20 "VIP" ticket online, and then you'll still want to get there early but at least you'll have a chair from which to watch the show.

For the Friday Night Poetry Slam, arrive between 9 and 9:30 if you want a seat. (No advance reservations for the Slam Open or the Friday night slam – waiting in line is part of the experience!)
