New mom tired of the hospital coffee? Walk down the hill to Golden Bear for some pour-over! 5 minute walk, tops. The owner is kind and funny, and the pastries are excellent, too.
Best coffee in this immediate area. The ginger cookie tasted store bought. Would prefer they switch to a thicker almond milk like a baristas blend.

Everything is amazing. Chocolate croissants fresh out of the oven were so good that I felt self conscious eating them around other people. I had a sample of a scone that was the best of my life.
Great neighborhood place ... chocolate, lemon and apple tarts are out of this world. Mini-chocolate cake was disappointing, but I might have hit it on a bad day.

Steep Creamery is serves the newest dessert trend - rolled ice cream. Try the traditional Cookie Crush flavor made with cookies and chocolate ice cream or go for a tea flavor, such as Thai iced-tea.

The butter is a once in a lifetime experience but way too heavy for multiple consumptions. The two in one order custard pineapple buns are the way to go, freshly warmed of course!
Their shrimp dumplings are the best by far around Chinatown. A lesser known item is their dried shrimp rice roll. Very good as well. Long lines, though, so be prepared to wait.
Friendly staff, great horchata latte (made with almond milk!), tons of local artists’ work for sale. 48 artists on this visit.
Dogpatch gem. Don’t believe the crummy tips. I go for an everything with cream cheese, which tastes amazing and unlike others. Can’t beat the freshness of this bakery, creamery, and Red Bay coffee.

Awesome donut shop. Get there quick; they sell out quickly. My faves are turkey & jalapeño croissant, blueberry buttermilk bar, apple fritter and a glazed old fashioned. So good!

The ice cream is high quality. The baked goods are highly recommended. I always go for the best of both worlds: a piece of pie al la mode. my favorite being the peach with vanilla
The main attraction here is the warm Glazed Donut ice cream sandwich called Milkbomb Sandwich. A must try!
Love the Orange foam coffee. I combine kalbijim croissant and injeolmi croissant to stack the rice cake and the kalbi like a magical croissant sandwich.
The best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The shrimp dumplings, shiu mai, chive dumplings, sticky rice in lotus leaf, steamed BBQ pork bun, and sesame ball, were phenomenal.

Big fan of the OG location. Different, more modern vibe here, and the backyard looks very promising. Breakfast sandwich was pretty good but the cinnamon roll was insane. 10/10

Great go-to spot for sandwiches to take to Ocean Beach. I’ve had the pastrami and smoked salmon and will be going back when the cravings strike!
