A great gem of a park in this city. The band shell really lends to an amazing sound. Clean (heated!) bathrooms, great playground, and close to the river.
Coming early is your best bet but Sundays are usually a day when the animals are active and its not too busy. Trust me I work here
An escape nestled on the Riverfront Downtown. Stop by at dusk for an amazing fountain show in Bicentennial Park.

Trails didn't seem like much but it has a rock climbing area if you have your own climbing equipment.
This conservatory was built in 1895 and contains over 400 species of plants. Prior to 1884 this land was occupied by the State Fair.

Great view, watch the wild life, a squirrel walked up to me and climbed up my pant leg, I didn't even offer it food! Lol. Made the trip!
Be sure and see the Three Sisters Islands. They are arguably the most beautiful area of the park.
