Best not to enter the southbound train on the south side of 49th Street, especially at night and in the winter when the homeless camp out there.

Steph Shyu5月 3, 2023Super confusing station. C and E trains are on separate track levels and local trains don’t always stop here. Save yourself the heartache, suck it up, and just catch the ACE at Times Square.
You can get mobile service at the back of the C train platform going uptown and at the front going uptown.
If you can't hear the announcements, stand at the top of the stairs. When you feel wind and E train is arriving.

on the southbound side the loud extended beeps indicate a train approaching on the lower level.
Be prepared to wait for what seems like an eternity for the C. Especially dowtown bound C's
