Paulie Gee is a super friendly owner who makes you feel totally warm and fuzzy for eating pizza in a converted barn. Favorite Pie: the Hellboy, which is especially delectable if you dig spicy.
Amazing and intimate Japanese restaurant in Williamsburg. Tokyo style small plates. At $65/p the 8 course omakase is a great deal. Atmosphere is also great, all tables are in private booths.
The 8-10 course tasting menu for around $50 is absolutely worth it. You get nervous you won't be full around meal 5 but by meal 8 you're stuffed. The tequila cube are novel but not that great imo.

Call ahead to order your sandwich. Perhaps they'll hire another "sandwich artist" one day, but until then these things take about 15 minutes to assemble and dispense.
One of the more beautiful coffee shops in NYC, a skylight and plant filled oasis hidden down a dark hall. High end craft roasted and poured coffees that taste fantastic but come with price shock.

Tasty, spicy Chinese food with surprisingly good (tiki) cocktails. Like a less crazy Mission Chinese, or a more affordable Red Farm. Pork soup dumplings, garlic eggplant, and rice cakes with sausage.

Walk through the door at the back of of the laundromat. Cool bar with a small but good selection of local beers and 20+ pinball machines. Easy ones are World Cup and Spiderman.

Classic old school doughnut shop with a devoted following. Old fashioned cake doughnuts are our favorites here.
Food is pretty good. Rooftop is whatsup though. When it's warmer I suggest some drinks and apps on the roof.
They have the best fresh-baked bread in the neighborhood. Get fresh baguettes when they come out at 9 AM.

Best place to find a unique bottle of pretty much any spirit. Especially amaro, gin or mezcal. You certainly won't find any Jack Daniels or Bacardi here.
