Fantastic second-hand bookshop in the main terminal - Renaissance Books!
Altera makes this airport one of the best in the world---before or after airport security if using the "D" terminal.
Don't worry about getting there too early; rarely any lines during security.

I totally agree--Frontier/Midwest/Republic/whatever is a far cry from the excellent service Midwest was known for. So sad. They don't bake the cookies on board anymore and don't know what Leinies is!- Get here early enough to grab a beer and bloody Mary before your flight.
Eat before heading down Concourse E! Only one restaurant, Cooler by the Lake once you pass security. For how the food is, check reviews.
American Airlines' check-in counters have moved up to the North side of the terminal - closer to the C concourse.

Always good to take an early evening flight, most of the time no lines! Easy breezy to departure gate!
Check out Renaissance Books before you go through the gates, really good independant bookstore with huge range

Ian DeRanieri10月 21, 2010Frontier Airline from LGA > MKE is especially good if you pay the $25.00 upcharge for stretch seating. Best $25.00 I've ever spent on travel things.
In case of a water landing, your seat will double as a live vest. And triple as a toilet.
Good airport with bad TSA. Slow lines and I think it's the largest airport without Precheck. Of the 30+ airports I've been thru this year, it's the worst to security.

DO NOT leave the gate if your flight is late. The plane will come early and leave you and you won't even know it.
