Awesome old school half-moon venue. Not a bad seat in the house ...because it's all standing room. Great acoustics.
Start at the southern tip of Griffith Park and walk through the lovely Fern Dell trail. Arrive and "eat pie in the forest like a king". It's not the food that's special, it's the surrounds.
Zoo and Botanical garden? Just the animals. The harbor seals are supper cute though. Make sure to check the maned wolves, such magical forms. Snow leopards are actively posing, live up to its name.
Natural pools of bubbling hot tar with mammoth statues desperately trying to escape, prehistoric victims of Mother Nature's molten grip. Beautiful park and lots of cool history!
A great classic 1930's music venue with awesome acoustics. If a band you like is playing here make the trek, it's worth it.
Even if ASSSSCAT is sold out weeks in advance online, come a few hours early and buy a ticket to any of their other improv shows. Add your name to the wait list, you'll very likely get in to the show!
Such amazing shows, and you can bring your own picnic food! Never park there though, it's an absolute traffic nightmare. Park at Hollywood/Highland and walk 15 minutes to the bowl.
What's not to love about this great LA institution? Be sure to take some time in the library downstairs to read about some of your favorite modern artists, or to charge your phone.
Can't miss during your LA visit. Go for dinner nearby then attend a concert for a perfect night. Or just visit to admire its architecture.
Look up! Look down! Look at all the stunning gardens! There are patterns and interesting things to see literally everywhere here, the art itself isn't the only thing to not miss!
My favorite: The Chinese garden; 2nd: European art gallery with paintings by Monet, Van Gogh, etc.. 3rd place, the Japanese garden and the scones at the café :) allow 4 hrs minimum
Intimate performing space with fantastic acoustics, good bars, a small kitchen, and a history that puts the Whisky to shame! Lenny Bruce was one of the. First arrests here - back in 1957. Obscenity!!
Super intimate music venue with an open setting. Easy to get drinks from the bar. They have great shows all the time!
Get a tasting flight. Four scoops of ice cream which are a decent size. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. The stumptown coffee with compartes Iove nuts was good and I hate coffee ice cream
The best sandwiches! I get tuna on fresh baguette when they have it. Runner up is soppressata salami with manchego. Closed Sundays.
Make sure you come for Spin the Bottle. Either Jackie Beat or Deven Green will be killing it upstairs. But don't skip the killer drinks!
Lots of activity inside and around this building. You can spend all day to participate entirely activities or just take a quick look in aquarium in an hour.
It's a great place to watch any movies. I usually get a tasty dinner at the Farmers Market nearby and then come here to watch a movie. They have a large selection of current movies and showings.
