Teeny Mexican cafe that's pretty hard to find in the palace area but worth it..run by an American guy, this is very good authentic Mexican food and an amazing craft beer selection. Go!
Amazing winery in the mountains, the afternoon tour is a must for visitors to split. It's wine drinking rather than tasting, so don't expect to leave sober!
Probably the largest craft beer selection in Split, excellent service and nice atmosphere. The deli food offering is only from June onwards but who needs to eat anyway.
Cute bar with probably the best cocktails in Split and a GREAT craft beer selection. Go in the afternoon or early evening to hang with locals, by 9/10pm it's super busy with backpackers and tourists
Traditional and super cute bistro near Bacvice beach so not in the busy old town area. The food really is excellent and veggie friendly too, service really good.
This is an amazing place where you can walk around the waterfalls and experience the local wildlife. It gets VERY busy though so go as early as you can. Swimming is only at the first waterfall.

Lovely traditional Italian deli, lovely wines and great craft beers, and good cheese and meat plates. Most can be taken away also.
