This shop is chill and makes outstanding espresso drinks. One of the more laid-back places in PDX. Best of all, it's down the street from Screen Door, one of the best brunch places in Portland.
Get there earlyish and grab an Oregon Croissant while they're warm. It's better than a croissant should be allowed to be.
Family fun for the young or young at heart. Watch a movie on the cheap and play nickel arcade games to your hearts content. This is the kind of place you hope will always be around for generations.

A long wait is expected here. This is wildly popular for breakfast and everything I've had is great. Order your breakfast with confidence, it will be delicious.
A lot of food (one meal = 2). Great vegetarian options. Nice atmosphere. Just wish we didn't get the seats near the restrooms. Will come back to try the cocktails!

This is my favorite Portland restaurant. I highly recommend the raw live nachos, the walnut lentil burger, the tacos plate, and the fig and Brie sandwich! The food here has gorgeously complex flavors.

Ice cream cookies is the fad but their home made cone waffles is where it's at. Walk anywhere on Mississippi and get a whiff to realize that Ruby Jewel must be around the corner!
