Instead of taking the expensive and crowded elevator, just walk up to Largo do Carmo and take the small path next to the church. That way you'll be able to see one of Lisboa main attractions for free!

The soldiers are kind of pleasantly lacklustre. Sort of like the cast from that Carry On Film with the French foreign legion. They seem like nice guys.

Почти каждый день в районе 6 вечера здесь играют отличные музыканты, репертуар - Стинг, босса-нова и т.п. \ Almost every evening very good musicians are playing here - music of Sting, bossa nova ect.

Pretty place in front of Convento do Carmo. Sometimes there's live music and you can stop for a drink if you have free time.

The elevator is 5€ and gives you a superb view. I'm a local and got jaw dropped by it, I think it's worth it.
