Honestly cannot taste much difference between the wanton mee here and the original one opposite. Noodles are good, chilli fiery!
Noodles are soft over-cooked style. Hero is their char siew (BBQ pork), homemade & well caramelised. For $4, u get 5 wantans (2 boiled, 3 fried) — unimpressive, small & basic. Flavourful soup though
Noodles are the kind that i like; and the chili sauce has that ‘old school’ taste which elevates this wanton mee into ‘must try’ territory for me. Char siew & wantons were good too.
Honestly their main selling point is probably the different level of Chili spiciness. Their noodles and char siew were just average.

The name of the stall speaks for itself. Try this if you like wanton noodles the "old school" way. The combination of chilli sauce, oil and soya sauce hits the spot for me.
Pontian style wanton mee... noodles taste ok, fried wantons are good (very crispy)!
Prices are more or less the same as the other 2 outlets, just that the concept of this branch is more of a cafe style with air con.
Don't be fooled by their signboard thinking their wanton mee is $1.90. Small size is $2.50, big size $3!
I basically grew up eating their wanton mee from their lorong 13 days till now. Still remains my favorite wanton noodle stall of all time, the taste is one of a kind.
Honestly, the noodle is springy & chewy enough to eat without the chili. Taste is pretty good.
Wantan Mee is shiok! Noodle is 'q' (has bite). If u enjoyed Kok Kee @ Lavender, the sauce flavour here has the same umami effect. IMHO One of the best WTM in SG. Go with the flow: Order, wait, enjoy

Wantan mee: 1st impression was d Interesting sweetish sauce. Her noodles was 'q' (as expected) & her wantan (pork dumpling) had generously fillings. Definitely 1 of top stalls in SG :-)

Get their signature kolo mee set. Portion was generous, noodles were 'q' and the pork ribs were very tender and chewy. Definitely worth queueing for.
Verdict on the truffle wanton mee: Not bad, but not worth $6. That said, the noodles were springy, char siew & wantons tasty. Their normal wanton mee wud probably taste fine even w/o the truffle oil.
Awesome wanton noodles! Love the pork! Even though it's like 200% more expensive than the regular wanton noodles from the hawker stall, it's worth it! Generous portion! But should be given the price!
The queue moves slowly but that's because the sisters take the time and effort to prepare the noodles properly and thoroughly. Well worth it.

High quality soup, wanton that is not just minced meat only with the well mixed fine noodles this stall is definitely one of my favourite wanton stalls.

There are two Wan-Ton Noodle stalls in Kovan Food Market. They styles are different but both are good. Each store has its own fan.
Wantan mee: Generous! I had 10 wantans (5 fried, 5 boiled) in my serving. Noodle springy/'q'. Char siew (BBQ pork) slices also generous. All for $3 in CBD! Plus it's run by a jovial elderly couple
Good for a quick budget meal. A plate of Wanton Noodles is only $2.50.
Wonton Mee good for Singapore standard. 水饺 skin is soft and thin, but filling could be more.
Yummy wantan mee. 'Q' (chewy) noodles. Well caramelised char siew (BBQ pork). Wantans that u taste bits of water chestnut. Tasty, not salty, soup. Complete package
Beware of the ultra spicy chilli sauce! Great noodle texture. Tasty wantons. Charsiew can be better. Overall I still say go go go for it! #ThomtoriEats
Really nothing to shout about; wanton mee was truly average, save for the fried wanton. I expected much more to be honest.
